Alaska Halibut And Salmon Fishing Trips
Alaska halibut and salmon fishing trips are great year around. We split the day between trolling for salmon and jigging for halibut. This full day charter takes you out to choice fishing locations traveling between 30-80 miles out of Homer. Captains Dan and Jesse will use their expert skills to put you on some nice size fish. Whatever your fishing experience level, both captains are great with teaching how to fish properly for these species. There are different techniques to fish bottom-feeding halibut and saltwater salmon. If you take their advice your chances of catching increases, and the more nice fish you’re catching, the more memorable it can be.
We offer this fishing trip two different times during the year. In May and June, the king salmon are making their way to the rivers while feeder kings are present year round. Subsequently, July through September, the silver salmon come in. Pink salmon come into the waters every other year. These trips are available on both the Blackjack and the Game Changer. Be sure to purchase your king salmon stamp before embarking on this halibut and salmon fishing trip.

Alaska State Fishing Regulations
Before embarking on our Homer fishing trips, you must obtain the required Alaska Fishing License. In Alaska, a license is required to participate in sport, commercial, and personal use fishing; and sport fish guiding or hunting guiding. Licenses are available for residents, non-residents, members of the military, and residents who are Disabled Veterans or who are age 60 or older. Most licenses, as well as a king salmon stamp, can be purchased online or you can find them at local retailers.
